Anaglyph Drawing_animation_suplement

Anaglyph drawings are a fascinating way to create 3D images that pop out when viewed through special glasses.

Hello Folks!!

Team Animation Suplement recently participated in windmill festival 2024 at BKC Mumbai and this year we introduced Anaglyph drawings to the kids of age 6 to 14 years. We explained this concept to kids and taught them the technique used behind it. We also introduce them how 3d stereoscopy works in live action and animation movies. Once kids learned it, they came up with amazing Anaglyph drawings of their own imagination and creativity.

Here’s how you can introduce this fun activity to kids.

 What Are Anaglyphs?

Anaglyphs are stereoscopic 3D images achieved by superimposing two slightly different images for each eye using different filters (usually red and blue). When viewed with the appropriate glasses, these images appear three-dimensional.

  1. Materials Needed:

    • 3D glasses with red and blue lenses (you can use color mixing glasses).
    • Blank pieces of paper.
    • Different shades of red and blue colored pencils or crayons.
    • Optional: A light board for tracing.
    •
  2. Creating Anaglyph Art:

    • Start by drawing a simple picture on a blank piece of paper.
    • Use red and blue pencils to color different parts of the drawing. For example, use red for one side and blue for the other.
    • Make sure the colors don’t overlap too much.
    • Put on your 3D glasses, and watch your drawing come to life!
    • Example-

Remember, anaglyphs are a delightful blend of art and technology, making them a perfect STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activity for curious minds! 🎨🔍🌟

Happy Learning!!
